TITLE OF POSITION: Visiting Professor in TESL(2)

DUTIES:
Within the language learning programs offered by the department, the
Successful candidate will:

- teach basic-level English courses;
- coordinate a team of teachers in basic-level English programs;
- create pedagogical materials;
- promote and act as a resource person for the use of multimedia
technologies in second language teaching;
- develop new TESL courses and/or programs.
- As needed, the successful candidate may also be called upon to give
writing and grammar courses to students enrolled in second-language
teaching programs.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ph.D. in TESL or related field. Masters degree candidates with
extensive experience in TESL and/or the use of new technologies in language
teaching will also be considered;
- significant, proven and successful experience in communicative-based TESL;
- proven experience in the use of language-teaching multimedia
technologies (The university is equipped with a 30-post Robotel multimedia
language laboratory.);
- native or near-native proficiency in English and functional working
knowledge of French; 
- strong sense of initiative and organization, as well as the ability to
work in a team;
- experience in coordinating a team of second language teachers would be an
			advantage.

SALARY:
Salary will be established in accordance with the successful candidate's
qualifications and experience.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms are governed by the current collective agreement.

PLACE OF WORK: Chicoutimi, Quebec; and occasionally at off-campus centers.

START DATE: To be determined.
