 COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTS

at Logos Technology Development Center, which is situated in Rockaway,
NJ, near New York City.


Short Description:

* Developing new technologies for terminology extraction and
management
* Developing new technologies for corpus processing and automated
grammar rule generation
* Providing expertise for the design and development of new products


Job Specification:

Personal Qualifications

* Commitment and motivation
* Good communication skills
* High flexibility (working hours and activities)
* Creativity in finding solutions
* Ability to work under pressure

Professional Qualifications

Candidates must have:

* An advanced university degree, with a strong background in
computational linguistics
* Experience in at least one of the following knowledge areas: machine
translation, corpus linguistics, statistical language processing,
contrastive linguistics, translation, project management 
* Good programming skills (Perl, Java, C++, etc.)
* Good knowledge of English

Any of the following characteristics would be of advantage:

* Experience with databases (SQL, etc.)
* Experience in language engineering in an industrial or commercial
setting

Center, which is situated in Rockaway, NJ, near New York City.
