Assistant Professor of Linguistics, tenure track, beginning Fall 2006. Five courses per year, as well as some senior thesis supervision. A specialization within theoretical, formal linguistics with a principal research focus on a language other than English, and preferably non-Indo-European, is required. The College seeks a linguist with broad interest in linguistics and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence. Ph.D in hand or near completion.
