The Language Center of the Chonnam National University is looking for instructors of TESL. It has seven instructors, four of whom are native speakers of English with degrees in TESL. We would like to employ two or three more fluent speakers of English, preferably native speakers of English with American English accent. The requirement is M.A. or Doctoral degree in TESL. We will provide the instructors with: 1. Furnished housing on or near campus. 2. Settlement allowance of US$400 for apartment deposit. 3. Payment of about US$18,000 for 630 teaching hours a year and additional payment of $25 for each extra hour. 4. Health insurance is available for $35 a month. 5. Assistant professorship and additional monthly payment of about $125 to those with doctoral degree in TESL. Each session begins at January, March, May, July, September, and November. So you have a lot of flexibility in selecting the time to come here. We are also interested in getting applicants for internship program. Interns will teaching three hours a day(M-F) either one or two sessions. We will provide for homestay and round-trip airfare. The University is located in a city of about one million population. Public transportation is so well developed that you might not want a car. The living cost here is comparatively low. Note that the room and board per one university student cost no more than US$200 a month.
