RESEARCH ASSOCIATE A short term Research Associate is available at the Department of Information Science, Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland, to undertake work in the application of Spanish morphology to Information Retrieval in general and to word stemming in particular. The successful applicant will work as part of a team of 4 researchers involved in developing prototype retrieval systems for English, Catalan and Spanish. This research is financed by the European Community under the ESPRIT programme until 31 August 1996 in the first instance, and we are seeking to fill this post as soon as possible. Applicants should have a background in linguistics, computational linguistics or related field, in the Spanish language. The salary will be in the range =A314317 - =A321519 according to age and experience.
